Liz Tuohy

Liz is a leader in the wilderness education industry and an emerging somatic coach who believes that in community, we can thrive through challenge and uncertainty. Grounded in three decades of wilderness-based decision-making, she helps people and organizations navigate complex, unfamiliar terrain while discovering a deeper, more mature version of themselves. 

At NOLS, Liz led global training and oversight for more than 650 instructors, advancing student mental health support, equity and inclusion, and risk management practices. She’s known for bringing groups together, staying calm in crisis, and moving teams toward big, meaningful goals. Liz enjoys recreating outside and traveling with friends—continuing to find joy, inspiration, and connection in the wild places she loves.

As a member of Womentum Cohort 4, Liz is inspired by the power of Lander community members supporting one another to lead with authenticity and purpose.
