Susan Gray Gose is a writer, mom, and wife of a Wyoming native. She blames her husband Ben for ruining her perfectly nice East Coast life by introducing her to the Mountain West. They moved from Washington D.C. to Lander in 2002, shortly after the birth of their daughter Lily. In 2004, their son Gage was born and completed their family.

Susan has been a writer throughout her career. One of her early jobs was covering crime in Durham, N.C., for The News & Observer. After that, she wrote about charities (or the opposite of crime) for The Chronicle of Philanthropy in Washington D.C. From there, she became a correspondent for People magazine’s D.C. bureau. (Fun fact: she’s interviewed Tom Hanks, the original “Wonder Woman” Linda Carter, and “the Donald” before MAGA, among other celebrities.)

In Wyoming, Susan became managing editor of the local newspaper before leaving to become a freelance writer and spend more with her children. She’s contributed stories to WyoFile, published a short-story in an anthology (which was picked up for standardized tests – sorry students), and has recently finished a mystery novel that she’s revising and hopes to publish. Being a part of Womentum’s Cohort 4 and now the Leadership Team inspires Susan to be bold and dream big, while connecting with like-minded women.
